Assistant Under Secretary-General for Training & Educational Development
Reem Yehya is a senior student at the Lebanese American University majoring in Political Science and International Affairs and minoring in Conflict Analysis and Resolution. She first embarked on her MUN journey as a delegate in the 2ndMiddle School GC LAU MUN and was so inspired by the program that she later participated as a high school delegate in the 9thGC LAU MUN as well as the 3rdLAU MAL, in which she received Diplomacy and Honorable Mention Awards. She then continued to win a Secretary General Award in Beirut International MUN in 2017. Reem wanted to be able to empower people in the same way her trainers had done for her, and so she joined the Training and Educational Development Teams of both GC LAU MUN and LAU MAL for two years and volunteered as a logistics coordinator in the 2ndLAU MEU. She took her journey overseas and became a member of the Global Classrooms International MUN Secretariat in New York twice, in 2017 and 2018. Outside the simulation programs, Reem has been a member of the Citizenship and Human Rights Clubs and taken part in several internships along the past two years. She is currently pursuing an internship at LAU’s Institute of Women’s Studies in the Arab World. Reem will be serving as the Assistant Under Secretary General for the Training and Educational Development team.
